tregiffian spring small

More greens!  And local again.  This one (80x100cm)  is based on the lane which runs from the studio to the B road which is our life-line into Penzance and the world beyond.  One day last week we walked along this lane and you could all but hear the greens singing.  Gorse, hawthorn and blackthorn all have black branches when they’re wet and seem to add to the brightness of the greens.  The stream which follows the line of the lane has all but dried up.  It must have been a dry spring.  Blackthorn blossom has  been abundant this year and the pink campion is everywhere, as usual.
