Painting outdoors is all but impossible these days.  Here in west Penwith mild, wet and windy weather is what we’re used to, but this winter has been cold too.  I painted this mixed media on paper painting (29 x 29cm) in the studio based on several drawings I have made of this view which is a 15 minute walk from the studio.  I have passed it four or five times a week for nearly 30 years and feel like I know every stone.

This is a summer version.  If I can’t experience that now at least I can pretend!
