Another field walk painting, and another one with a prominent cloud, this one described with a dark scribble.  I’ve used water soluble pencil crayons in conjunction with acrylic ink and paint for a number of years.  I wanted to show some of the energy contained in this cloud, always on the move and changing shape constantly. The ability to move a pencil across the surface energetically without losing any mark making intensity is so rewarding.  It can change the nature of a painting in a few seconds.  (The sea horizon is level on the painting, but not in this photo…..sorry!).
