Its that time of year, if you’re a rural inhabitant, when greens become so dominant in the landscape that it feels like you’re swimming through greeness. After a long winter my palette is now being resupplied with lemon yellow on a regular basis. This a 84x91cm canvas most of which has at least one layer of lemon yellow. The subject is inspired by aspects of the local (within spitting distance of the studio) ancient landscape.
