‘Porthgwarra Lookout’, 30x40cm, Mixed media on paper.  I’ve always been interested in the raw and elemental landscape of west Cornwall’s Atlantic coast juxtaposed with signs of human habitation both past and present.  Here our contribution to the landscape reflects our response to our location and our desire to look seaward.  The predominance of yellow in my current palette seems to be an annual occurence which happens with the onset, or the anticipation of, spring.  Its such an optimistic colour.
