2014 cove stream 60x50cm mixed on canvas jpg

Almost complete.  A painting inspired by one of my favourite places: St Loy’s Cove (reputed to have the warmest climate on the UK mainland), where a stream wriggles through a wood and then emerges into a boulder strewn cove, sheltered by two headlands and facing south.  On summer evenings the boulders are like storage heaters, and the seals watch the occasional visitor to the beach from the shallows.  Heaven!

This is how it all started………..P1030548
