This picture started as a still life.  As you can see, it underwent some radical interventions to reach this result: a winter cove and headland, typical of west Cornwall.  Although I’m not a great fan of winter – the days are too short – it does bring some colour combinations that you don’t see at any other time of the year.  Skies, in particular, can be very dramatic, and can display just about any colour you can imagine.
