A new year, a new theme!  Montol is a midwinter festival that includes a procession in Penzance.  This town is great at this sort of thing and this painting depicts part of the ‘goings-on’.  All very pagan and always including great musicians with a lively percussion section.  More on the procession/festival theme to follow I think.
