Another painting, altogether more sombre. I love the pictorial potential of wet soil. In the right light it can look quite black. A good excuse to take a walk on the dark side. This is larger at 60x50cm and is mostly acrylic on canvas.
I’m starting to work more on paper at the moment. (See my facebook page for a tango painting just finished.) To change media is always a good way to shake things up and prevent work getting stale. So we’ll see what emerges in the next few weeks. They may be the subject of the next few posts, but who knows. Painting is an unpredictable way of life. I’m always ready (and always hope) to be surprised by what turns up around the next corner.
