P1050751A combination of an old theme with a new one.  Beehives have put in an appearance in my work since I saw a particularly handsome one in a clearing at one of my favourite haunts, St Loys Cove, some years ago.  I think its a throw-back to my architectural days.  They are a beautifully functional kind of baby architecture constructed as a home and factory for bees.  The introduction of rooks to the scene shows a much more recent interest, or perhaps I should say, an interest which is becoming an obsession, with birds and with rooks in particular.
