Click on the image for the full picture.  Back to landscape for me for a while.  This is a mixed media painting on paper (20 x27cm ish).  I have recently been inspired by the north coast industrial landscape of far west Cornwall.  There’s something of an echo from my northern roots which resonates when I’m walking through the historical mining heritage of this wild part of my adopted county.  The juxtaposition of chimneys, engine houses and winding gear with the high cliffs and Atlantic waves is so dramatic that I have become transfixed.
