p1070133Luckily for rooks, west Cornwall is littered with telegraph poles, as none of the electricity and phone cables are underground.  Hardly any of them remain vertical for very long and they afford quirky vertical punctuations throughout the landscape – ideal perching places for buzzards and rooks.  But, both being shy birds,  they are soon dispersed by human intrusions which interrupt their high level meditations.  This is ‘Pole Dancers’, 40x40cm, mixed media on canvas.
